Originally from New York, Cathy Weil and her husband, Shelly, purchased their home at the Hamlet Country Club 25 years ago. They moved permanently to the Hamlet in December of 1994.
Cathy and Shelly both fell in love with the Hamlet and became active in community as well as Club life. Cathy has served on the Board of Directors of the Hamlet Residents Association as well as the Board of Governors of the Hamlet Country Club. As a member of the Club Board, she served as First Vice-President for one year and President for two terms. The Club, newly redesigned in 2009, has been featured in the press as well as area magazines. Cathy shares the pride of those who recognize the style, beauty and ambiance of the new clubhouse.
Cathy's New York business life included her serving as Executive Vice-President of The Miss Chocolate Company in Garden City and a member of the Board of Directors of a publicly held Long Island firm.
Cathy began her real estate career in 2004, when Sandy Tobias invited her to partner with her. Together, in March 2011, they joined Lang Realty's Boca Raton Central Office, located at 2901 Clint Moore Road. They will specialize in marketing the Hamlet Country Club and neighboring specialty communities. Cathy and Sandy hope an improving real estate market will provide a bright future for everyone.
Sandy considers herself fortunate in so many aspects of her life. She has been successful in two careers, first as an educator and textbook author and, now, as a Realtor. She enjoyed New York City's rich cultural life to the fullest as a longtime Manhattan resident and, now, loves country club life at the Hamlet where she has lived since 1999. She has served in varied and challenging leadership positions, from President of her Manhattan Coop Board of Directors, to Chair of the Delray Beach Education Board, Vice Chair of the Plumosa School of the Arts Foundation, Inc., and Co-Chair for the past ten years of the Hamlet's Chapter of Susan G. Komen For the Cure. Her choice of business partners, from her co-authors to her present partnership with Cathy Weil, has enabled her to be part of winning teams. Their decision to join Lang Realty as country Club specialists opens a new phase for her, one that she expects will add a new dimension to her real estate career and another fortunate aspect to her life.
